The Advanced Duplicator is a powerful tool that will save most contraptions, allow you to download them to your hard drive, or save them directly on the server. You can build something on one server, and spawn it on another. Build it on single player, and spawn it in multiplayer. Use the uploads/downloads menu in advanced duplicator to transfer files between your computer and the server.

Important Tips

• When saving a file on the server in the PUBLIC folder, be sure to choose a name others will understand, and fill in the description box when saving. This way anyone who wants to spawn your public contraption will know what it is. It also helps the server admins when they try to organize different dupes.

• Save your dupe in the public folder in the right folder! Don't save your airplane in the robots folder, don't save your TankBot Deluxe Mark V in the Vehicles -> Space folder. There are folders for most common dupes, and if there is no folder that you think your dupe belongs in, then try the Miscellaneous folder. If a server admin notices many similar dupes, they will create a new folder for all of them.

• Do not spawn too many dupes too quickly. Yes we know you are excited about trying everything out, but spawning an enormous contraption too quickly over and over might cause tremendous strain on the server, causing FPS drops and lagginess. Spawn one thing, then undo it (z) before spawning another.

• When spawning, some dupes need to be spawned in a certain direction, that way the built in wires and hydraulics and such will work properly. If the dupe doesn't work the way it should, look at the name of the person who created it, it should be in the adv dupe menu when you loaded the file. PM that person on SA, or post it in the thread. Most goons will be glad to help you spawn the dupe properly. An improper spawn can lag the server anyways, so if you notice something is up, undo and then contact the author.

• If you have many revisions of the same project, please label each one 1,2,3,4,5. A server admin can then delete 1-4, and leave 5 alone. I suggest making the dupe in your private folder, then when you are sure you are done, resave it into the public folder. This way you don't clutter up the public folder and keep everyone happy.

• Your private folder is your own, none of the description or naming rules applies to it.

• Be nice with other peoples creations. You are not allowed to simply dupe anything anyone has. Ask permission first. Some people do not want to share what they create. It is rude to dupe someone’s project without permission.
